Chemistry and Biological Sciences collaborated on an outreach event with OLDS Elementary School in Raleigh, that went on from November 2023 to January 2024.

The program “Partnering for the Advancement of Science Education and Learning” or “PASEL” is one where NC State volunteers mentor 20-30 3-5 graders in the design, execution, and presentation of science fair projects. This ~8-week program walks the students through the scientific method, allows for hands-on experimentation, and involves researching support and justification of conclusions drawn. One of the teams was even selected as a finalist to move on to the regional science fair!
