2018 Outreach & Engagement Awards Celebration

NC State’s Office of Outreach & Engagement hosted its annual awards celebration on Wednesday, April 11. Fifteen faculty and staff members were recognized for their commitment to teaching, research and public service. Leslie Boney, vice provost for Outreach & Engagement presented the awards, with special guests Duane Larick, senior vice provost for Academic Strategy and Resource Management and the Provost’s Office chief of staff; and Tom Miller, senior vice provost for Academic Outreach and Entrepreneurship.

The awards showcases members of the university community who work with community partners to fulfill NC State’s land-grant mission and to make knowledge more accessible to others. Honors presented included the 2018 Economic Development Partnership Award, the 2018 Outstanding Extension Services Awards, the 2018 Academy of Outstanding Faculty Engaged in Extension , the 2018 Alumni Award for Outstanding Extension Service, the 2018 Opal Mann Green Award, the 2017 NC State Holshouser Award Nominee, the 2018 William L. Turner Award for Outstanding Contributions to Extension and Continuing Education, and the 2018 Customized Corporate Education Award of Excellence.
