The Office of Outreach and Engagement is offering stipends for faculty travel to assist with Hurricane Florence recovery efforts that correlate to faculty scholarship.

The Office has a limited number of $250 stipends available to travel to eastern North Carolina to assist with recovery efforts. Funding is available on a rolling basis until February 2019. Funds can be used for hotel and mileage reimbursement.

For approved applications, the Academic Outreach & Entrepreneurship Business Office will arrange to transfer the funds to your department. These funds are state-appropriated and must be expended by fiscal year end. Ensure your application includes a state-appropriated project ID.

Approved applicants will be contacted within a week of application and funds will be transferred to the applicant’s department.
